On June 3, Genesis released a statement revealing the outcome of the first-instance trial concerning nine patent disputes involving its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shenzhen Genesis. The Beijing Intellectual Property Court determined that Beijing Jingdiao is the rightful owner of the rights and interests in the inventions and creations, as well as the patent rights, for seven of the disputed patents. Meanwhile, Beijing Jingdiao's claims for the remaining two patents were rejected due to a lack of sufficient evidence. Genesis has clarified that the ruling has not materially disrupted the regular production, operations, or sales of its core products. Additionally, the verdict is still within the appeal window and has not yet become legally binding.
