JSR, a prominent Japanese chemical firm with a global market share of around 20% in the photoresist sector, has announced its intention to construct its inaugural production facility in Taiwan, China. This strategic move is aimed at fostering collaboration with TSMC, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, on the development of next-generation photoresists. In early April, JSR successfully forged a joint venture with a Taiwanese partner, injecting tens of millions of U.S. dollars into the venture. Production at the new facility is projected to commence as early as 2028, marking a significant milestone in the companies' collaborative efforts.
