Lately, Intel's Arrow Lake-S Refresh series processors (part of the Core Ultra 200 Plus lineup) have been making frequent appearances on benchmarking platforms, garnering considerable attention. This series encompasses models like the Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. These processors boast a 24-core architecture, comprising 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. They support DDR5-7200 memory and have a maximum turbo boost power consumption of around 250 watts. Notably, the Core Ultra 9 290K Plus can achieve a maximum acceleration frequency of 5.8GHz. In Geekbench benchmarks, it has posted impressive scores of 3456 points in single-core performance and 24610 points in multi-core performance. This demonstrates its robust capabilities, and it is expected to rank among the most powerful desktop CPUs currently available for multi-threaded tasks. The mobile variant, the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, has also come to light, with its performance nearly on par with that of the desktop-grade Core Ultra 9 285K. Originally, Intel had intended to announce this series at CES 2026; however, it was not brought up during the event. At present, the series has been inadvertently revealed through retailer listings and other channels, with an official launch anticipated in the first quarter of 2026.
