In the early months of 2026, both the CPU and memory markets experienced simultaneous price surges. Samsung and SK Hynix have outlined plans to implement memory chip price increases of up to 70% in the first quarter. AMD has announced across-the-board price hikes for its entire product range, with graphics cards seeing a 10% uptick and certain memory module kits experiencing increases ranging from $20 to $40. It is anticipated that AMD will further adjust prices in January 2026, with potential increases of 10-15% for server CPUs. Meanwhile, Intel is also set to raise the prices of its Raptor Lake processors by more than 10%. Memory module costs have skyrocketed, with a single 256G DDR5 server memory stick now exceeding 40,000 yuan. Consequently, PC manufacturers like ASUS, Lenovo, and Dell have already commenced raising their prices.
