The 22nd China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China 2025) commenced on November 23 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Gao Dongsheng, Chief Economist at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, emphasized that integrated circuits serve as the bedrock of the information society, embodying a strategic, foundational, and trailblazing sector. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is set to drive its high-quality development via three core strategies:

Firstly, fostering collaborative innovation throughout the industrial chain. This entails bolstering resource integration and promoting seamless integration with emerging industries. By doing so, the ministry aims to create a synergistic ecosystem that accelerates technological advancements and innovation.

Secondly, the ministry will persistently refine the industrial environment. With enterprises at the forefront, it will optimize industrial layouts and fortify intellectual property protection. This approach is designed to cultivate a fertile ground for sustained growth and competitiveness within the integrated circuit industry.

Thirdly, adhering to the principles of open cooperation, the ministry will elevate the level of international collaboration. It extends a warm welcome to foreign enterprises to invest and operate in China, supports the establishment of cooperation platforms, and deepens standard collaboration. Through these efforts, the ministry seeks to foster a globally interconnected and mutually beneficial integrated circuit industry landscape.
