During the regular press briefing held by the Ministry of Commerce on the afternoon of November 13, a reporter from a media organization posed several questions. They inquired whether China had given the green light for a delegation from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs to visit China for discussions regarding the Nexperia matter. Furthermore, they asked if the Dutch representatives had already reached China, when these consultations were scheduled to take place, and what the Ministry of Commerce anticipated as the results of these talks.
In response, He Yadong, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, conveyed the ministry's hope. He stated that the Dutch side would show a genuine and earnest desire to collaborate. Moreover, he urged them to promptly put forward substantial and constructive proposals and to take tangible steps. These actions, he emphasized, should be aimed at swiftly and effectively reinstating the security and stability of the global semiconductor production and supply chain, a critical sector for modern economies.
