On November 12, ASML, a Dutch manufacturer of chipmaking equipment, officially completed its campus in Hwaseong, South Korea. Spanning 16,000 square meters, the campus includes a remanufacturing center for components used in advanced lithography equipment—such as deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems—as well as a cutting-edge technology training facility. Through this new campus, ASML aims to deepen its process and technology collaboration with leading South Korean semiconductor companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Earlier, ASML had outlined plans to invest 240 billion South Korean won (approximately RMB 1.2 billion) by 2025 to establish a semiconductor equipment hub in Hwaseong.
