Recently, reports have surfaced indicating that TSMC is set to roll out a four-year price increase plan for its advanced processes below 5 nanometers, starting from January 2026. On average, the price hikes are expected to be around 3% - 5%. Specifically, for 3-nanometer processes, there could be a single-digit percentage rise in pricing, and the cumulative increase over the long term might even reach double digits.

At present, TSMC's production capacities for both 3-nanometer and 5-nanometer processes are operating at full capacity. Moreover, it's anticipated that the price of the 2-nanometer process will be 10% - 20% higher compared to that of the 3-nanometer process.

Major tech giants like Apple and AMD have already placed orders for these advanced processes. Looking ahead, TSMC's revenue from advanced processes is projected to make up 75% of its total revenue in 2025, which will further cement its dominant position in the industry.
