On October 17, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology co-hosted a press conference. Given the swift expansion of the new energy vehicle sector, China has emerged as a leading producer and consumer of power batteries. Presently, the State Administration for Market Regulation has authorized and published five national standards, encompassing the Technical Specification for the Assessment of Recycling and Utilization of Spent Battery Chemicals. Up to this point, China has rolled out 22 national standards dedicated to the recycling and utilization of power batteries. These standards span a wide range of areas, including general recycling guidelines, management protocols, and disassembly procedures.
