Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., has announced its commitment to signing the European Union's newly established AI regulation, dubbed the "Code of Conduct." In a blog post published on Wednesday, Google revealed that it will join a consortium of other companies in endorsing the EU's "Code of Conduct for Trustworthy AI," which aims to guarantee that European citizens and enterprises have access to secure and cutting-edge AI technologies. Kent Walker, President of Global Affairs at both Google and Alphabet, highlighted that this initiative is poised to significantly benefit Europe, with projections suggesting an annual economic growth of 8% by 2034, translating to a staggering €1.4 trillion.
