At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, a collaborative team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences unveiled their self-developed "Rock·Scientific Foundation Large Model." Tailored exclusively for scientists, this model boasts core functionalities encompassing scientific literature extraction and integration, knowledge representation and reasoning, as well as scientific tool orchestration and planning. These capabilities empower interdisciplinary research endeavors. Already seeing applications in mechanics and high-energy physics, the model significantly aids in technological advancements across material science, remote sensing data interpretation, astronomy, and beyond.
