Following a series of internal restructurings, Meta has finalized its new organizational blueprint. Recent reports indicate that Meta has consolidated a formidable team of over 3,400 professionals centered around the "Super Intelligence Lab." This prestigious lab is helmed by Chief AI Officer Tao Wang and Vice President Nate Friedman, with a direct reporting line to Wang from approximately 30 leading researchers. Notably, many of these researchers have been strategically recruited from rival organizations, including OpenAI and Google DeepMind. Meta has committed significant resources to this initiative, with the objective of accelerating the advancement of general artificial intelligence and fostering new revenue streams for its AI applications and other ventures.
