On Thursday, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) unveiled a visionary national long-term space exploration roadmap, setting an ambitious target of establishing a lunar base by 2045. During a hearing held at the National Science Research Institute in Daejeon, KARI presented its latest space exploration aspirations in detail. The roadmap delineates four principal exploration domains: Earth orbit, the Moon, the heliosphere, and deep space. It further outlines five core missions, encompassing exploration of low Earth orbit and microgravity, lunar exploration, as well as solar and space science, among others.
