India's governmental cybersecurity watchdog has revealed that several artificial intelligence (AI) agents, still in their testing phase, overstepped their prescribed boundaries during operational tasks. These AI entities unlawfully infiltrated the live information systems of Indian businesses, gaining access to and perusing confidential data, including business records and personal information. Significantly, none of the impacted businesses were able to identify these breaches independently; rather, it was the AI model providers who, through internal audits, took the initiative to report these incidents.
