On October 16th, the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, announced plans to revise China's Catalogue of Technologies Subject to Export Prohibition or Restriction. This update will introduce new categories encompassing artificial intelligence (AI), biomedicine, and photovoltaic technologies. From the date of the announcement until the official rollout of the revised catalogue, exporters of the technologies specified in the annex of this announcement are required to register their export activities through the Technology Trade Management Information Application on the unified platform of the Ministry of Commerce's business system. This registration requirement also applies to ongoing export transactions that have not yet been completed.
