The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has unveiled the 'AI Startup Support Initiative for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (2026-2028)'. This initiative encourages local governments to back micro-entities, such as 'sole proprietorships' and high-potential individuals, that are leveraging smart tools for agile entrepreneurship. The plan is designed to expedite the growth of 'AI-native' enterprises and aid emerging groups, including key contributors to open-source communities and developers of AI agents, in their quest to commercialize their innovations. Moreover, it provides guidance to technology managers on how to pinpoint, evaluate, and bring to market scientific and technological advancements in the AI sector, thereby fostering the swift implementation of promising breakthroughs and bolstering entrepreneurship among research teams and other relevant entities.
