On July 18, Pang Xiaogang, Deputy Director of the SASAC, emphasized at the China Telecom Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Forum that central government-owned enterprises must stay abreast of the latest industrial trends, continually refine their foundational large models, and pioneer core technologies such as basic algorithms, physical AI, intelligent computing chips, and quantum communication. These enterprises should uphold the principle of 'national models, national chips, national applications' and strive to build a fully autonomous ecosystem that integrates both software and hardware components. According to reports, the SASAC has intensified its 'AI+' special initiative for central enterprises, rolled out targeted support policies, and implemented talent development programs for three consecutive years. These efforts have driven central enterprises to develop and open over 1,200 key industry scenarios, adapt to various domestically produced chips, establish five computing clusters with 10,000 cards each, and empower a wide range of industries. Pang Xiaogang further highlighted that central government-owned enterprises should boost their investment, scale up intelligent computing capabilities, enhance cross-domain heterogeneous computing power scheduling, expedite the promotion of collaborative computing power and direct green power connections, and offer comprehensive computing power services to external entities.
