Apple and Samsung Pass Generative AI Service Filing, Insiders: Baidu is the AI Partner for Both

On July 15, 2026, the Cyberspace Administration of China announced the filing information for seven newly added generative artificial intelligence services for mobile devices, including Apple Intelligence and Samsung Galaxy AI. As the AI partner for both Apple and Samsung, Baidu will support Apple in developing AI search functions capable of processing images and text, as well as upgrading the Chinese version of Siri. Meanwhile, Baidu's ERNIE large language model will provide Samsung's flagship smartphones with features such as "Circle to Search" and a note-taking assistant. The Samsung Bixby voice assistant has also integrated large model capabilities such as Baidu's AI search.
