In celebration of Google Images' 25th anniversary, Google has unveiled a significant upgrade. The updated version boasts an interface that has been transformed into a vibrant, flowing gallery, reminiscent of Pinterest's style. This new design allows users, upon logging in, to effortlessly browse through personalized 'Recommended for You' content and save their favorite images to customizable 'Collections'. The primary goal of this redesign is to enhance user engagement and foster a stronger ecosystem. Moreover, Google has seamlessly integrated an image generation feature, powered by the Nano Banana model, into AI Overviews within search. This enables users to create bespoke visual images simply by entering text prompts. These exciting new features will gradually be rolled out to English-speaking users on the U.S. desktop English version, as well as to all regions that support AI image creation, over the coming weeks.
