These gatherings centered on the pressing topic of global artificial intelligence governance. China made a significant presence at these events, showcasing its state-of-the-art technological innovations, inclusive governance strategies, and open collaboration proposals. Its efforts in advancing the inclusive and beneficial development of AI were met with widespread acclaim from the attending delegates. Jia Guide, China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva, underscored China’s role as a staunch advocate, active promoter, and trailblazer in AI capacity building. He highlighted China’s proposal of the Global Artificial Intelligence Governance Initiative, aimed at facilitating the equitable sharing of AI benefits among nations. Li Lecheng, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, expressed China’s eagerness to enhance international cooperation to collectively foster fair and inclusive AI development. Furthermore, several Chinese enterprises participated, unveiling their latest breakthroughs, including the Enjoy Technology YuanDian Robot and the iSoftStone PixVerse video generation large model. The “Mazu” meteorological intelligent early warning solution, developed by the China Meteorological Administration, also garnered considerable interest from various stakeholders.
