51WORLD (06651) has officially declared that it has inked a strategic cooperation pact in the aerospace domain with Huantian Wisdom Technology Co., Ltd. The duo will join forces in the realm of high-precision satellite remote sensing data acquisition and the transformation of data assets into "physically usable" formats. Moreover, they will co-create the world's inaugural commercial remote sensing satellite, tailored specifically for physical AI training and simulation, named the Earth Clone Star "ECS-1". Huantian Wisdom stands as a vanguard in China's commercial aerospace landscape, specializing in the development and in-orbit management of space-based Earth observation remote sensing satellites. The ECS-1 satellite boasts an optical imaging payload with a ground sampling distance of 0.5 meters and an imaging swath width of no less than 60 kilometers. It harnesses a dual-line array stereo push-broom imaging system, enabling the generation of high-precision digital surface models and digital elevation models in a single pass. In comparison to traditional satellites, the ECS-1 markedly enhances the efficiency of 3D terrain reconstruction, doubles data processing capabilities, and slashes data acquisition costs by roughly 90%. The project has now entered the bidding phase, with ambitions to accomplish satellite launch and networking by the close of 2027. Furthermore, the two entities have outlined plans for the SAR satellite ECS-2 as a complementary endeavor to guarantee data continuity in intricate environments.
