This entity functions autonomously from the company's main governance structure and is tasked with supervising Anthropic's enduring mission. That mission is to foster the advancement of AI in a secure and conscientious manner, guaranteeing its sustained positive impact on society. The LTBT is comprised of five external members who are not interconnected and possess the power to appoint and dismiss specific board members.
