On June 24th, the 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, convened by the World Economic Forum, took place in Dalian. Li Dongsheng, the founder and chairman of TCL, was among the distinguished invitees. He shared his latest perspectives on globalization at the official main forum titled "Reconstructing Supply Chains" and during the Caixin Dinner, among other events.
Li Dongsheng observed that global supply chains are evolving, shifting their focus from mere efficiency to a greater emphasis on security, stability, and resilience. In tandem with this shift, Chinese manufacturing is undergoing a fresh wave of restructuring, embracing a localized development approach to stay in sync with the trend.
Li Dongsheng introduced the notion of "Globalization 3.0," championing the creation of localized and regionalized supply chain and manufacturing frameworks. He disclosed that TCL has already set up five regional business hubs overseas, each boasting a self-contained ecosystem. Furthermore, he underscored the pivotal role of AI technology in industrial settings and shared TCL's hands-on experiences in implementing AI solutions.
