On Monday, a federal judge in the United States dismissed a lawsuit filed by Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, against its competitor, OpenAI. The lawsuit accused OpenAI of stealing trade secrets, but the judge ruled that xAI failed to provide sufficient evidence that OpenAI induced former xAI engineers to misappropriate secrets, nor did it prove that xAI's trade secrets were disclosed in recruitment presentations, making continued litigation futile. Previously, the judge had dismissed an earlier version of the lawsuit in February this year.
