Tencent has recently initiated a significant recruitment campaign for its 'Lobster Series' products, focusing on positions within its Cloud and Smart Industries Group (CSIG) division. These positions cover a range of products, including WorkBuddy, and encompass roles such as AI User Growth Operations Manager. Previously, Tencent unveiled its 'Lobster Product Matrix,' a move that was personally endorsed by Pony Ma, who shared detailed insights on 'nurturing shrimp' during earnings call sessions. Dowson Tong highlighted that AI applications are evolving from 'Chatbot' to 'AI Agent.' Indeed, since the close of last year, Tencent has expedited its strategic deployment, carrying out organizational enhancements and workflow restructuring for its Hunyuan large model team. To lure top talent, Tencent is offering salaries double those of their current positions to leading researchers from ByteDance's AI department. Concurrently, this year's internship opportunities have witnessed a substantial increase in technical, product, and AI-related roles. Presently, tech behemoths are vying for AI talent in a competitive manner akin to an arms race, with top AI experts having the leverage to negotiate their own terms.
