On March 27, Beijing Time, CNBC reported that U.S. Federal Judge Rita Lin in San Francisco granted Anthropic's application for a preliminary injunction. Previously, Anthropic had sued the Trump administration, demanding the revocation of the Pentagon's decision to blacklist it and the directive prohibiting federal agencies from using its Claude model. The judge ruled that the government's actions to penalize the company for its stance violated the First Amendment to the Constitution and lacked legal basis to designate Anthropic as a potential adversary. The injunction aims to protect Anthropic from further losses during the pendency of the case.
