On March 27, Beijing time, CNBC reported that venture capitalist David Sacks is set to resign from his position as the leader overseeing AI and cryptocurrency matters within the Trump administration. Owing to his significant sway over AI policies within the U.S. government, Sacks earned the moniker of 'AI Czar.' After fulfilling his 130-day stint as a special government employee, he is poised to assume the co-chair role of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). In this new capacity, he will persist in offering counsel on a wide array of technology-related issues, with AI being a key focus. PCAST is an assembly of external experts from the industry and academia, with its membership roster featuring prominent figures such as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
