On February 20th, OpenAI stated that the company has a clear plan for future chip demand and emphasized the need for democratic countries to jointly establish artificial intelligence safety standards. Chris Lehane, President of Global Affairs at OpenAI, said that the company is collaborating with strategic partners to ensure chip supply. He mentioned that OpenAI executives are closely monitoring supply chain issues to ensure stable supply. Lehane and CEO Altman are currently attending an AI summit in India. Lehane also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in AI governance, noting that the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan are establishing AI safety institutions similar to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
