On February 19, 2026, NetEase Youdao unveiled the open-source version of its comprehensive personal assistant tool, LobsterAI (known as Youdao Longxia in Chinese). Designed to function as a round-the-clock, autonomous personal assistant across various scenarios, this intelligent tool has made its entire codebase accessible on GitHub. The goal is to work hand-in-hand with developers from around the globe to craft a more efficient and captivating intelligent assistant. LobsterAI seamlessly combines autonomous task execution with a user-friendly GUI for graphical interaction. It facilitates seamless connectivity between mobile and PC devices, allows for remote interactions through mobile phones, and is equipped with scheduled task management and long-term context memory features. Adopting a local-first approach, LobsterAI prioritizes security, and it also supports the integration of leading large-scale models as well as local open-source models.
