Eight key government departments, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have jointly released the "Implementation Guidelines for the 'AI + Manufacturing' Special Initiative." These guidelines outline a strategic push to support groundbreaking advancements in edge-side AI models, development and application toolchains, and the cultivation of AI-powered terminal products encompassing smartphones, computers, tablets, and smart home devices.

Simultaneously, with a keen focus on pivotal application scenarios such as industrial inspections and remote healthcare, the guidelines aim to expedite the industrialization and market penetration of cutting-edge terminals. This includes augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) wearables and brain-computer interfaces, marking a significant stride towards the future of tech integration.

Moreover, the guidelines underscore the importance of fostering innovations in embodied AI products. They call for the establishment of pilot bases and training facilities for humanoid robots, the creation of benchmark production lines, and taking a pioneering role in deploying these advanced robots in representative manufacturing settings, thereby setting a new standard for industry-wide adoption.
