On January 7, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with eight other departments, jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on the Special Action for 'Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing'", with a strong emphasis on bolstering the AI computing power infrastructure. The document underscores the necessity of fostering the synchronized development of software and hardware for intelligent chips. It advocates for significant advancements in pivotal technologies, encompassing high-end training chips, edge inference chips, and AI servers. Concurrently, it calls for a strategic and orderly deployment of high-tier intelligent computing facilities. This involves expediting the establishment of computing power interconnection platforms and national integrated computing power network monitoring and scheduling systems. Furthermore, it promotes the initiation of pilot projects for intelligent computing cloud services, the widespread adoption of large-model all-in-one machines, edge computing servers, and other related technologies, ultimately aiming to amplify the availability and capacity of intelligent computing resources.
