Eight departments, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have jointly released the "Implementation Guidelines for the Special Initiative on 'Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing'." The guidelines advocate for the swift incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) into the realms of machine tools and industrial robots. This involves the creation of a cutting-edge generation of AI-driven numerical control systems, bolstering their proficiency in autonomous decision-making, analytical prowess, and execution efficiency.

Concurrently, the guidelines encourage the innovation and practical deployment of intelligent medical devices, including surgical robots and intelligent diagnostic platforms. Moreover, they call for the infusion of AI technology into the research, development, production, and operational phases of significant equipment such as large aircraft and ships. Additionally, the guidelines aim to propel the advancement of intelligent low-altitude machinery, exemplified by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Furthermore, the guidelines outline the necessity for conducting rigorous testing and safety evaluations of intelligent connected vehicles equipped with autonomous driving capabilities. They also emphasize the need for a systematic and orderly progression of trials aimed at facilitating product market entry and on-road operational approval.
