On November 19, as per reports from US media, insiders revealed that during Trump's meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, the United States was poised to greenlight the initial batch of deals for selling cutting-edge AI chips to Humain, an artificial intelligence firm in Saudi Arabia that is backed by the state. This move is hailed as a major triumph for the company.

These approvals are anticipated to form a part of a more extensive US-Saudi AI pact, which might be wrapped up as early as this week. Under the terms of this agreement, the US government is set to adopt a favorable stance regarding Saudi Arabia's requests for large-scale exports of AI chips. Since 2023, Saudi Arabia has been required to obtain permission from Washington to acquire such chips.

On Tuesday local time, Trump mentioned that efforts are underway to address pertinent matters, and the deal will encompass a specific quantity of chips. Insiders predict that the number of chips approved will amount to tens of thousands. The authorization granted by the US government also marks a success for some of the world's leading semiconductor firms (like Nvidia and AMD), which are keen on tapping into the Middle Eastern market.
