These approvals are anticipated to form a part of a more extensive US-Saudi AI pact, which might be wrapped up as early as this week. Under the terms of this agreement, the US government is set to adopt a favorable stance regarding Saudi Arabia's requests for large-scale exports of AI chips. Since 2023, Saudi Arabia has been required to obtain permission from Washington to acquire such chips.

On Tuesday local time, Trump mentioned that efforts are underway to address pertinent matters, and the deal will encompass a specific quantity of chips.
