Based on the "Generative Artificial Intelligence Application Development Report (2025)" issued by the China Internet Network Information Center, as of June 2025, the number of users of generative AI in China had soared to 515 million, representing a penetration rate of 36.5%. This user base witnessed a staggering growth of 266 million in the first half of the year alone. The report highlights that China's generative AI landscape is undergoing a transformative shift, moving from mere "availability" to "user-friendliness," and from "trial phases" to "widespread adoption." There's a notable trend towards heightened intelligence and inclusivity. At present, China has forged a comprehensive AI industrial ecosystem that encompasses the foundational layer, framework layer, model layer, and application layer. The industrial chain extends across diverse sectors, including chips, computing power, data, platforms, and more. The application scenarios of generative AI are ceaselessly broadening, encompassing domains such as intelligent search, content creation, office assistants, and smart hardware. Moreover, active exploration is underway in fields like agricultural production, industrial manufacturing, and scientific research, paving the way for a future where AI seamlessly integrates into every facet of our lives.
