On September 26, 2025, Didi officially rolled out the public beta version of its AI travel assistant, named ‘Xiaodi Beta v0.8’. To access this innovative feature, users simply need to update their Didi App to the latest iteration, type ‘AI Taxi’ into the destination field, and input the designated command code. Xiaodi leverages advanced semantic understanding to accurately grasp user intentions, swiftly crafting tailored travel plans on the fly. It accommodates both voice and text commands, and, drawing on real-time traffic data, it can intelligently suggest up to three suitable vehicle choices. In tandem with Xiaodi’s launch, Didi has also introduced the MCP service, encompassing a range of vehicle categories such as Express, Discount, Fast Ride, Premium, Deluxe, and Luxury Cars. This service empowers users to effortlessly compare prices and book rides across multiple vehicle types with a single click.
