On September 24, 2025, OpenAI and European software giant SAP announced the launch of the 'OpenAI for Germany' partnership project, aiming to combine SAP's expertise in enterprise applications with OpenAI's AI technology to provide customized AI services for Germany's public sector. The project focuses on helping government employees and public institutions apply AI tools safely and efficiently while ensuring data sovereignty, security, and compliance. Leveraging SAP subsidiary Delos Cloud and utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud services, the project is planned to be fully implemented by 2026.
