Lin Huaibin, Deputy Director of Light Vehicle Sales Forecast for China at S&P Global Mobility, forecasted during the 2025 China Automotive Forum that by 2025, the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles will hit 57%, with plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) accounting for a smaller share compared to the previous year. Over the next two to three years, as inventory reduction initiatives are completed, the growth rate of PHEV models is anticipated to decelerate further.
