The 2025 China Automobile Forum, held in Jiading, Shanghai, from July 10th to 12th, centered around the theme "Enhancing Quality, Embracing the Future with Intelligence." During the event, Li Wenguang, President of Huawei Intelligent Driving Solutions, unveiled Huawei's ambitious autonomous driving roadmap. He announced that Huawei plans to initiate pilot commercial use of L3 autonomous vehicles in 2025, alongside advanced testing of L4 technology. By 2026, the company aims for large-scale commercial deployment of L3, followed by widespread commercial use of L4 by 2027. Furthermore, Huawei envisions the realization of unmanned trunk logistics by 2028. Li Wenguang acknowledged that while these targets may seem aggressive, achieving them by 2027 would still place Huawei one year behind Tesla in this race.
