On July 1, Hongqi, the iconic Chinese automobile brand under the aegis of China FAW Group Corporation, is intensifying its global footprint, with a particular focus on the European market. During the first half of 2023, Hongqi recorded a robust 11.8% year-on-year growth in sales, tallying up to 225,267 units. Notably, sales of its new energy vehicles surged by 19.2%. Looking ahead, Hongqi has ambitious plans to establish 1,000 channels and service points across more than 100 countries and regions worldwide over the next five years, embodying a blend of global vision and localized operational strategies. As part of its ongoing expansion efforts, Hongqi will commence construction projects for right-hand drive production capacity later this year, tailored for the global market. Additionally, its operational hubs in Europe and the Middle East are set to become fully operational.
