Mercedes-Benz (China) has announced a recall of 2,151 imported A-Class, CLA-Class, and GLA-Class vehicles, manufactured between December 2, 2020, and December 12, 2022. The recall will take effect from June 30, 2025. The reason for this recall is that the nozzle shape of the turbocharger turbine housing in these vehicles may not conform to specifications, potentially leading to non-compliance with emission standards under certain driving conditions. To rectify this issue, Mercedes-Benz will offer a free update to the engine control unit software for all affected vehicles through its authorized dealer network, thereby mitigating the potential emission hazard.
