Starting from July 15, 2025, FAW-Volkswagen will commence a recall of 202,662 Sagitar vehicles manufactured between September 1, 2018, and August 19, 2019. This recall is necessitated by an issue with the wheel speed sensor housing, which may exhibit insufficient moisture resistance. In environments of high temperature and humidity, water or moisture could potentially infiltrate the internal chip, leading to the malfunction of the ABS and ESP systems, thereby presenting a safety risk. To address this concern, FAW-Volkswagen will offer a free replacement of the improved wheel speed sensor for all affected vehicles within the recall scope. The company will notify relevant vehicle owners through registered mail and other communication channels.
