Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd., have jointly announced a recall initiative commencing June 13, 2025. This recall encompasses a total of 509 vehicles, including locally produced C-Class sedans and GLC SUVs, as well as imported S-Class sedans and EQE models. The decision to recall these vehicles stems from the discovery that during previous repairs, certain vehicles were inadvertently fitted with incorrect fuse boxes. This error could potentially lead to system malfunctions, power loss, and in extreme cases, a risk of fire. In an effort to uphold vehicle safety standards, both companies will collaborate with their authorized dealers to conduct complimentary inspections of the fuse boxes in the affected vehicles. Where necessary, these fuse boxes will be replaced at no cost to the owner, thereby eliminating any potential safety hazards.
