On May 15, BYD unveiled plans to establish its European headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, with a substantial investment of approximately €248 million. The Hungarian government has pledged support amounting to roughly €49 million for this initiative. According to Péter Szijjártó, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs, this project is anticipated to spawn 2,000 new job opportunities. The European headquarters of BYD will oversee pivotal functions encompassing sales, after-sales services, vehicle certification testing, localized design, and functional development of various vehicle models.
