On April 28, BYD held a groundbreaking ceremony for its passenger vehicle factory in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, signaling the commencement of its localized operations within the country. This facility, which represents Cambodia's first new energy vehicle (NEV) production base, boasts an annual production capacity of 10,000 units and is projected to initiate operations in the fourth quarter. BYD emphasized that this initiative aims to propel the growth of the NEV industry in Cambodia through the introduction of innovative technology, ultimately offering high-quality products to local consumers.
