The Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Court has accepted the bankruptcy review application from Zoom In Tech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., signaling the judicial reorganization of this once highly valued autonomous driving technology enterprise, which was worth over 9 billion yuan. Since its inception in 2013, Zoom In Tech has achieved notable advancements in ADAS and autonomous driving, yet its attempts to go public have consistently failed, leading to severe financial strain. Following the Spring Festival this year, the company faced revelations of unpaid wages and executive departures. Founder Tang Rui clarified that he was not unreachable but was abroad. This situation has raised concerns within the industry about the trajectory of the autonomous driving sector, and it remains uncertain whether Zoom In Tech will emerge rejuvenated from its reorganization.
