On April 1, Lexus (Shanghai) New Energy Co., Ltd. successfully acquired an industrial land parcel spanning approximately 1.1278 million square meters in Jinshan District, Shanghai, for a sum of RMB 1.353 billion. The plot boasts a plot ratio of 2 and a lease term of 50 years, allowing for the development of industries such as new energy vehicle manufacturing and lithium-ion battery production. Established in February of this year, the company anticipates commencing production on this site by 2027.
