Amidst this transformation, BYD maintains a commanding position in the market. As the most populous nation in Latin America, Brazil is swiftly embracing the adoption of electric vehicles. According to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association, EV sales skyrocketed by 85% in 2024, surpassing 170,000 units and accounting for approximately 7% of new car sales.
