On April 6, Yonhap News Agency reported that the South Korean government is set to disburse KRW 3 trillion (approximately US$2.4 billion) in emergency relief to the automotive sector, aiming to mitigate the repercussions of the newly imposed 25% tariff by the United States. With nearly half of its auto exports destined for the U.S. market, South Korea has borne the brunt of President Trump's tariff policy. The Ministry of Economy and Finance of South Korea has indicated that this financial assistance, estimated at KRW 3 trillion, will be channeled through the Industrial Bank's existing loan programs.
