In response to the repercussions of U.S. tariff policies, Canadian automaker Stellantis has announced the temporary closure of its assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario, for a duration of two weeks. According to the local union, Unifor, the primary catalyst behind this decision is the 25% tariff imposed by the Trump administration on steel, aluminum, and imported vehicles. The scheduled shutdown of the plant will commence on April 7.
