GGII: Domestic Power Battery Installed Capacity Hits 34.4GWh in February, Up 95% YoY

On March 21, the Gaogong Industry Research Institute (GGII) released figures revealing that the installed capacity of domestic power batteries stood at approximately 34.4GWh in February. This marked a significant year-on-year increase of 95% and a slight month-on-month decrease of 4%. The surge in popularity of models such as the Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Xiaomi SU7 lithium iron phosphate version, and BYD series vehicles propelled the installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries to 26.06GWh, up 144% from the previous year. This accounted for 75.8% of the total installed capacity, setting a new record high.
